A possible complication of severe indirect muscle injuries is the formation of a seroma in the lesion area. In the case of excessive blood-serum collection, it is advisable to consider ultrasound-guided aspiration of the excess fluid. Such therapeutic action is necessary to prevent the solid organization of the fluid collected and its possible involution into a cyst formation. Following the aspiration therapy, it is necessary to proceed with further therapeutic interventions to prevent re-formation of the seroma.
