Osteoporotic and traumatic vertebral fractures are the direct consequence of a traumatic event and mainly affect the more mobile spinal tracts, such as the cervical and lumbar spine. Causes can be important traumatic events, while in osteoporotic patients, vertebral fracture can be caused by a minimal trauma and within the usual daily movements made by the patient. Radiological imaging is necessary and indispensable for both diagnosis and prognosis and follow-up. Traditional radiology is the first investigation that is performed in emergency; TC is used as a survey completion for better diagnostic accuracy and for better fracture display. The RM plays an important role in evaluating bone marrow and follow-up damage.
