Abstract
Adductor longus: severe lesion in a professional football player

The adductor longus injury plays the most important role in the onset of both traumatic or overload groin pain syndrome. Particular attention should be paid to the anatomical location of the lesion concerning its proximity to the tendon structure. Furthermore, the rehabilitation program must be based on well-standardized scientific rational application. For this reason, the authors suggest the application of the guidelines formulated during the Italian Consensus Conference for the Conservative Treatment of Lower Muscular Muscle Injuries in Sportsmen”
