Cancer rehabilitation

The disabilities presented by cancer patients are varied and complex and manifest themselves on a physical, relational, psychological, and social level. Rehabilitation in oncology aims to optimize the quality of life of the cancer patient, helping the patient and his family to adapt to standards of living as similar as possible to those before the disease. In the dossier, treated by a group of physiatrists and physiotherapists from the National Cancer Institute of Milan, the interventions on fibrosis, lymphedema, plexopathy and complications resulting from radiotherapy are analysed.
