Knee arthrosis

Symptomatic degenerative knee arthropathy is among the most common forms of osteoarthritis and one of the main causes of disability in the adult population. It is a chronic degenerative condition that leads to pain, inflammation and joint stiffness as a result of cartilage degradation, subchondral bone remodelling and osteophyte formation. The consequences for those affected are significant in terms of reduced functional capacity, productivity and quality of life. In this issue the different aspects of diagnosis, evaluation and treatment will be analysed.
