Upper limb recovery, particularly of the hand, in patients who have suffered a stroke is one of the most complex challenges for the rehabilitation therapist.
A number of robotic devices have been introduced into clinical practice in order to intensify and enrich the rehabilitation treatment: among them, the Gloreha Sinfonia system. Gloreha has been the subject of many studies that have demonstrated clinical benefits obtained by passive, active, active-assisted and bimanual mobilization.
In addition, some modes of therapy enabled by this device are able to activate the sensorimotor areas of the brain, stimulating neuroplasticity phenomena.
