This article indicates the modes for assessing hip mobility and ROM in the case of degenerative hip joint disease due to arthrosis: given the correlation between a greater restriction of ROM and level of disability, it is useful to assess the mobility in the FABER test position, in extension, external rotation and abduction, as well as the maximum isometric strength of the various muscle groups, especially abductors.
