Hip osteoarthritis is one of the most common degenerative disorders of the body, affecting mostly middle-aged and older people. In this article, we report the case of a woman with hip pain as a result of symptomatic osteoarthritis, which limited her normal activities of daily life and prevented her from taking care of her disabled husband. After patient information about the probable poor prognosis and deterioration of her condition, we suggested a conservative management aimed at pain control and at improving the range of movement (ROM) and hip function, using passive techniques and active exercises that could be performed at home.
