The purpose of this article is to evaluate statistical data available in the literature regarding arthroscopic versus conservative treatment in femoroacetabular impingement (FAI) syndrome. The Systematic Review with meta-analysis implemented by Zhu and colleagues was examined because, compared with the others available in the literature, it is the most recent, has a larger number of studies eligible for internal analysis, and tests the efficacy of the treatments considered against a larger number of clinical outcomes. It was concluded that both arthroscopic and conservative treatments can have beneficial effects on FAI; however, arthroscopy is statistically superior to conservative treatment in the short term as well as in the long term.
