The VISA-A questionnaire is a tool to assess the clinical condition of the Achilles tendon. It is relatively simple to use, reliable and validated in the Italian language. This article presents the VISA-A questionnaire and discusses its usefulness in clinical practice. It can be used both for an initial assessment of the tendon and to monitor progress during the rehabilitation process, i.e. as an outcome measure. The VISA-A questionnaire consists of 10 items regarding pain, daily life activities, work and sports activities. The score ranges from 0 to 100, where 0 indicates the worst condition.
