Cervicogenic headache, according to the International Classification of Headache Disorders, is a secondary headache caused by a disorder of the cervical spine. A number of studies can be found in the literature aimed at evaluating the effectiveness of manual therapy in reducing pain, intensity, frequency and duration of episodes, and disability related to headache in both the short and medium-long term. Based on the evidence available, it can be affirmed that manual therapy, in particular joint manipulation and mobilization techniques, represents an effective treatment method for the management of cervicogenic headache.
