Cognitive biases are errors in judgment that impact everyday life, not only on decisions and behaviors but also on thought processes. The article examines the availability bias which refers to the tendency to overestimate the probability of events when they immediately come to mind and are available to the person making a decision. Availability bias is also present in the physiotherapy field. The manuscript, after proposing some examples, mentions some ways to mitigate this prejudice and encourage further studies.
