The adductor longus partial tenotomy represents a surgical technique used with relative frequency for the chronic adductors tendinopathy. This technique shows a relatively high positive outcome and allows the patient to resume sport in acceptable time and to return to the sports practice in the most part of cases at the same level. However, we must carefully consider the fact that the patient is exposed for a relatively long period to the risk of indirect injury of the part of the muscle which has not undergone the tenotomy.
