Medical research has developed radiological examinations aimed to assess musculoskeletal tissues and structures in depth. These accomplishments still don’t allow to identify the structures origin of musculoskeletal pain in most patients. Yet, many therapeutic approaches have shown to be effective in treating musculoskeletal pain, such as manual therapy, exercise and education. The aim of this article is to disclose the uncertainty in daily clinical practice.
