In the treatment of low vision, visual rehabilitation is of central importance. Through it, thanks to the use of brain plasticity and perceptual learning mechanisms which can exploit the residual vision, the visual function is strengthened. This is achieved through the administration of stimulations and specific exercises designed to address the visual impairment and reinforce the child’s potential: the exercises must be aimed at the development of motor, cognitive and affectiverelational skills.
