This case report illustrates the rehabilitation protocol adopted in the case of a patient, a professional minor league basketball player, following surgery for synthesis reduction of tibial plateau fracture and external meniscus suture for bucket handle injury. These are frequent traumas that have a negative and significant impact on the patient’s life, keeping them from work and professional sport for long periods of time. The aim of this article is to present the rehabilitation protocol used, paying particular attention to three questions frequently asked in the published literature. What is the range of post-operative exercises that should be used? How long should the immobilization last? And when should one start loading the operated limb?
