Lymphedema is a chronic progressive disabling condition characterized by an increase in the volume of one or more limbs due to the accumulation of lymphatic fluid in the interstitial spaces. Adjuvant radiotherapy is significantly associated with lymphedema and the treatment utilizes complex decongestive therapy, based on certain techniques and types of interventions aimed at reducing lymphatic stasis.
