The median nerve is the largest nerve of the upper limb and is the one most frequently affected by injuries. It is not as easily palpable as the ulnar nerve and indirect palpation techniques are the most commonly used.
Knowing its course and behavior during upper limb movements can be helpful for clinical assessment.
