Hip arthroplasty outcomes: role of manual therapy

Regarding outcomes of hip replacement surgery, supervised active treatment is currently best practice for the rehabilitation of these patients. What role can manual therapy play in the rehabilitation process or in the management of symptoms even in the long term? When combined with therapeutic exercise, it can be a valuable aid in reducing pain and improving movement.
