Spondylolisthesis is a pathological condition characterized by a slow and progressive sliding forward of a vertebral body with respect to the vertebra below. Lumbar spondylolisthesis is a major cause of spinal stenosis and is often related to lower back pain and pain radiating to the lower limbs. In adults, the most frequent form is degenerative. Manual therapy is not the treatment of choice but can be used as a support for exercise to restore mobility, reduce pain and improve the functionality of the spine as a whole.
