Lumbar spinal stenosis is a common and disabling condition affecting in particular the elderly. The signs of lumbar spinal stenosis, in individuals with low back pain and leg pain associated with functional impairments, are diagnosed by means of radiological imaging. The main symptom that these people present is neurogenic claudication. Treatment in the majority of cases is conservative, but little is known about the efficacy of non-surgical treatments for this condition. As regards manual therapy, its goal is to improve the flexibility of the lumbar spine and facilitate inter-segmental flexion with mobilization techniques.
