Frozen shoulder syndrome (FSS) is a common musculoskeletal disorder characterized by the progressive loss of both active and passive mobility in the glenohumeral joint. The etiology remains unclear. Multiple rehabilitation interventions, including manual therapy techniques, have been investigated. Manual therapy has been shown to reduce pain and improve function, but there is no evidence to support one form of manual therapy over another. Most of the studies have shown significantly greater results when a specific degree and direction is given to the maneuver, at the same time taking into account the patient’s level of irritability.
