The role of biases is now well known in medicine, although it is still not sufficiently considered or explored in depth. Many studies have reported that biases play an important role in increasing diagnostic errors in healthcare. When there is diagnostic uncertainty, the likelihood of encountering biases increases. The article, after exploring the role of biases in diagnostic uncertainty, offers some suggestions for managing it and reducing the risk of error.
