Knee osteoarthritis (OA) is a chronic degenerative disease characterized by cartilage deterioration and synovial inflammation. It is one of the leading causes of disability, with symptoms including pain, stiffness, and functional limitation. The primary goals of OA treatment are to reduce pain, improve functionality, and enhance quality of life. Therapeutic exercise and manual therapy are widely used treatment options. Recent studies suggest that the combination of manual therapy and therapeutic exercise can provide short-term benefits, although long-term advantages are less clear. Further research is needed to better understand the effectiveness of these techniques and their long-term impact.
