The role of soft skills in physiotherapy treatment

The term ‘soft skills’ signifies a set of relational and interpersonal skills important in any work environment. This article aims, first, to describe the principal soft skills necessary for a physiotherapist, and then focuses on positive communication and the capacity for shared decision-making with patients. These soft skills play a key role in the field of physiotherapy. Finally, the article proposes a series of recommendations for practitioners to use in their daily clinical practice.
