Hamstring muscle injuries: eccentric muscle strengthening
through Nordic hamstring

Hamstring injuries are among the most common non-contact injuries in sports. The Nordic hamstring (NH) exercise has been shown to reduce risk of injury by increasing eccentric hamstring strength. The purpose of this article is to review the effectiveness of injury prevention programs involving NH exercise in reducing rates of hamstring injury.
