For some years, the recovery of the functionality of the proximal femur, in patients suffering from lateral and medial fractures, has been assisted by the use of passive exoskeletons. Among these there is ExoBand (Moveo), a device that can be worn on the hip easily and without side effects, which was tested on elderly patients recently undergoing surgery for the aforementioned pathology, with the aim of evaluating the effective reduction of recovery times of autonomy in walking. The use of the ExoBand exoskeleton, in the small sample evaluated, does not show a statistically significant difference between the two samples compared, but it is very close. This suggests that by increasing the number of patients enrolled in the study a significant difference could be achieved, allowing the rehabilitation team and the patient to achieve the objective of outpatient autonomy in the days of stable recovery from the National Health System.
