Cervicalgia is a musculoskeletal illness that is less common than low back pain (LBP). However, with the rise of remote work, there has been a significant increase in the worsening of neck pain, affecting around 50% of cases during the SARS-CoV-2 (Covid-19) pandemic emergency. This article examines various working positions using advanced technological tools to analyze the posture of patients: inertial motion sensors are placed on the head to track head movements, while wireless surface electromyographic probes are used to record muscle activity during the sustained maintenance of uncomfortable postures.
