Artificial intelligence (AI) is now integrated into the medical field, with a particular focus on the use of advanced technologies such as wearable devices and AI-based diagnostic systems, like those developed by OpenAI. These tools offer various potentials for automating diagnostic processes, improving the accuracy and timeliness of clinical decisions. However, there is a need for human oversight in the diagnostic process to validate the results obtained, reducing the risk of errors and ensuring that clinical decisions are based on a comprehensive understanding of the clinical picture. There are also ethical and epistemological implications of using AI in medicine, raising questions about professional responsibility, data privacy, and the balance between automation and human intervention. While AI can significantly enhance diagnostic and therapeutic capabilities, an integrated approach remains essential, one that does not exclude the irreplaceable role of the physician.
